	La carrière d'Ashton Rome, bien que brève, est une puissante leçon sur l'importance de la persévérance. En se retirant de la LHSBA, il laisse le souvenir d'un joueur qui, après avoir connu une première saison cauchemardesque, a refusé de baisser les bras et a prouvé à tous qu'il avait sa place dans le monde du hockey professionnel.		La carrière d'Ashton Rome, bien que brève, est une puissante leçon sur l'importance de la persévérance. En se retirant de la LHSBA, il laisse le souvenir d'un joueur qui, après avoir connu une première saison cauchemardesque, a refusé de baisser les bras et a prouvé à tous qu'il avait sa place dans le monde du hockey professionnel.

	Son baptême du feu en 2011-12 fut brutal. Avec seulement 5 points et un différentiel de -35, sa première campagne ~~avec les Roadrunners aurait pu sonner~~ le glas de sa carrière~~, comme c'est le cas pour~~ de nombreux jeunes joueurs ~~qui peinent à faire la transition~~.		Son baptême du feu en 2011-12 avec les '''Pirates''' fut brutal. La saison suivante, en 2012-13, fut celle de la rédemption. Métamorphosé, Rome est devenu un contributeur offensif fiable, inscrivant 32 points et améliorant radicalement son jeu défensif. Il avait non seulement surmonté l'épreuve, mais il était revenu plus fort, prouvant qu'il avait le caractère d'un vrai professionnel.		Cependant, l'organisation des Coyotes a vu au-delà des chiffres et a cru en son potentiel, lui offrant un nouveau contrat de deux ans. Cette marque de confiance a tout changé.
