C'est la fin d'une époque pour l'un des joueurs les plus robustes de la dernière décennie. L'attaquant Kyle Chipchura a officiellement annoncé sa retraite, mettant un terme à une carrière de guerrier menée avec cœur et poings, tant au niveau "PRO" que dans les circuits de développement de la LHSBA. Reconnu pour son style physique et son rôle d'agitateur, il a laissé sa marque partout où il est passé.
Kyle Chipchura met un terme à une carrière définie par la robustesse, l’intensité et une capacité à contribuer dans plusieurs rôles. En combinant ses passages PRO et FARM, il a disputé 568 matchs de saison régulière et accumulé '''1 747 minutes de pénalité'''.


La carrière de Chipchura a connu deux phases distinctes. La première fut celle d'un joueur de profondeur efficace au niveau professionnel. Il a connu ses meilleurs moments avec les '''Senators''' en 2011-12, puis avec les Predators de 2013 à 2015, où il a disputé trois saisons complètes. C'est avec les '''Predators''' qu'il a atteint son sommet offensif en 2014-15 avec une récolte de 43 points, tout en accumulant plus de 200 minutes de pénalité, prouvant qu'il pouvait allier production et robustesse.
Sa première phase de carrière l’a vu s’imposer comme attaquant de profondeur au niveau PRO. Après une excellente saison FARM de 50 points avec les Senators en 2011-12, il a rejoint l’organisation des Predators. Il a disputé 80 matchs PRO en 2013-14, puis connu son sommet offensif avec '''19 buts et 43 points''' en 2014-15.


La seconde moitié de sa carrière l'a vu embrasser un rôle de leader vétéran dans les ligues "Farm". Après avoir signé un contrat avec les Canucks en 2016, il est devenu la pierre angulaire des '''Comets.''' C'est là que son style combatif a atteint son paroxysme, comme en témoigne son incroyable saison 2016-17 où il a amassé 56 points, mais surtout '''379 minutes de pénalité.''' Une suspension de cinq matchs en 2018 est venue confirmer sa réputation de joueur qui ne reculait jamais.
Chipchura a ensuite retrouvé les Admirals en 2015-16 avant de signer avec les Canucks. Avec les Comets, il est devenu un leader vétéran et l’un des joueurs les plus intimidants du circuit FARM. Sa campagne 2016-17 résume parfaitement son style : '''56 points et 379 minutes de pénalité''' en 50 rencontres.


Son parcours a été jalonné de transactions importantes, notamment celle qui l'a fait passer des Sénateurs aux Prédateurs en 2012. Il a connu du succès en séries éliminatoires à plusieurs niveaux, démontrant son utilité lorsque le jeu devenait plus intense.
Il a poursuivi avec deux autres saisons complètes à Utica, ajoutant 44 puis 39 points tout en dépassant encore 250 minutes de pénalité chaque année. Sa suspension de cinq matchs en novembre 2018 a constitué le dernier épisode marquant d’un style sans compromis.


En se retirant au sein de l'organisation des Canucks en mai 2019, Kyle Chipchura laisse derrière lui l'image d'un coéquipier dévoué et d'un adversaire redoutable. Avec plus de 1700 minutes de pénalité en carrière combinée, il incarne une génération de joueurs pour qui le travail acharné et le courage étaient les outils les plus importants.
En séries FARM, Chipchura a récolté 18 points en 38 matchs. Il a notamment obtenu 10 points avec les Senators en 2011-12 et 8 points en 9 rencontres avec les Comets en 2016-17.


Kyle Chipchura se retire comme un joueur de caractère, un protecteur et un adversaire redoutable. Son parcours illustre la transition réussie d’un attaquant robuste au niveau PRO vers un rôle de meneur offensif et physique dans le circuit FARM.

Kyle Chipchura met un terme à une carrière définie par la robustesse, l’intensité et une capacité à contribuer dans plusieurs rôles. En combinant ses passages PRO et FARM, il a disputé 568 matchs de saison régulière et accumulé 1 747 minutes de pénalité.
