			Le 11 mai 2019, Alexx Privitera a mis un terme à sa carrière de deux saisons, un parcours bref mais bien rempli qui l'a vu évoluer au sein de trois organisations différentes. Il se retire en laissant l'image d'un défenseur moderne, capable de combiner habiletés offensives et robustesse.

			Durant sa carrière entièrement passée au niveau farm, Privitera s'est établi comme un défenseur mobile et productif. En 104 matchs avec les Condors, le Heat et les Marlies, il a amassé un total de 30 points, démontrant sa capacité à appuyer l'attaque et à relancer le jeu.

			Cependant, il n'hésitait pas à s'impliquer physiquement, comme en témoignent ses 106 minutes de pénalité. Cette dualité en a fait un joueur polyvalent et un atout recherché sur le marché des transactions, étant impliqué dans des échanges entre les organisations des Oilers, des Flames et des Maple Leafs.

			Le point culminant de sa courte carrière fut sans doute sa participation aux séries éliminatoires de 2018 avec le Heat. Il y a démontré qu'il était un joueur des grands moments, récoltant 3 points en 7 rencontres.

			Alexx Privitera quitte le hockey en ayant prouvé, en peu de temps, qu'il était un défenseur complet et un compétiteur de valeur.
