Andrew Murray : La retraite d'un champion et d'un vétéran respecté

Le 5 août 2016, Andrew Murray a mis un terme à une carrière riche et bien remplie, laissant derrière lui le souvenir d'un leader, d'un professionnel accompli et, surtout, d'un champion.

Le point culminant de sa carrière est sans contredit sa conquête de la Coupe Calder en 2011-12 avec les Worcester Sharks. Cet accomplissement a cimenté son statut de gagnant, une réputation qui l'a suivi tout au long de son parcours.

Andrew Murray était le modèle du vétéran fiable. Respecté pour son leadership (LD 85) et son expérience (EX 87), il était également un joueur d'une discipline exemplaire (DI 90). Il a connu une longue carrière à la fois au niveau professionnel, où il a disputé 156 matchs, et au niveau farm, avec 222 rencontres.

Sa valeur sur le marché était indéniable. En 2012, il a signé un contrat majeur de quatre ans d'une valeur de 2,6 millions de dollars, une marque de confiance immense envers ses qualités. Impliqué dans de nombreuses transactions tout au long de sa carrière, souvent en retour de joueurs établis, il était un actif convoité par plusieurs organisations.

Joueur des grands moments, il a participé à 33 matchs de séries éliminatoires au plus haut niveau, prouvant sa fiabilité lorsque l'enjeu était à son comble.

Andrew Murray se retire en tant que joueur qui a tout gagné au niveau farm et qui s'est établi comme un professionnel respecté au plus haut niveau. Sa carrière est un exemple de leadership et de persévérance.
